Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate

Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate
Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate (abbreviated as DCCNa, also known as Dichlor) is a highly effective and broad-spectrum organochlorine disinfectant, boasting multiple functions including sterilization, bleaching and deodorization.
Basic Properties
It appears as white crystalline powder or granules with a chlorine odor, containing 60%-65% available chlorine.
It is readily soluble in water and highly stable under dry conditions, allowing for long-term storage. Adequate dissolution is required before use.
It has strong oxidizing properties. In water, it slowly releases hypochlorous acid, which exerts its disinfecting effect by damaging bacterial proteins and interfering with enzyme systems.
Main Applications
It is widely used for disinfecting drinking water, swimming pool water and industrial circulating water, as well as for environmental cleaning in food processing, medical and health care, and public places.
It is suitable for sterilization and disinfection in the breeding industry (aquaculture, sericulture, livestock and poultry farming). It can also be used as a textile bleaching agent, wool shrink-proof treatment agent and additive in cleaning products.
Safety Precautions
It is irritating to the skin, mucous membranes and respiratory tract. Protective equipment must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.
It is strictly prohibited to store or mix it with strong acids, strong alkalis, reducing agents and other incompatible substances. It should be stored in a sealed, moisture-proof container, away from ignition sources and heat.
Do not use it for disinfecting metal instruments. Avoid causing pollution to water bodies.
