Activated carbon is made of high quality coconut shells from southeast Asia. Due to its highly developed porous structure and huge specific surface area, it has very strong adsorption capacity. So it is widely used for gold recovery. The production process is very detailed. The high quality coconut shell is refined and processed through carbonization, high-temperature activation and pretreatment. Through this method, we can reduce waste. The quality of activated carbon is highly influenced by the source of coconut shells. So the coconut shell used must be of high quality and free from conteminants.
